I am walking down the hallway of my life with many doors on either side of me, behind each lies something.  Something that is not known until I open the door…hmmm which door to open and how to choose.

Each door looks different.  Is that a clue?  What’s behind that beautiful arched oak door with the rod-iron knocker or that gorgeous Robin’s Egg blue door with the oval hammered glass window that would fit a face.  Of course there’s the brilliant red weaved-looking door with the brass handle.

Does the color indicate what might be on the other side of that door?  Oak or golden ~ could there be treasures and riches thru that one?  Blue ~ does that represent happiness as in blue skies?  Red ~ you know there must be love behind that door, right?

What do I want for my life, riches & treasures, happiness, or love?  But wait there are more doors in different colors, for instance that green one, would that indicate greener pastures, that everything always goes right?  Would the black door signify no end, like a black hole, indicating you will live forever?  The white door must be hiding an angel behind it!

So many doors, so many colors, so many choices.

If you could only choose one door, which color would you choose?  Feel free to choose a color not listed above and define what that color might represent.  Thank you.

  2. Choosing just one is the dilemma. But the question you pose is a lot of food for thought. What would I choose and why? I’ll get back to you…. Hehe

  3. I would choose the purple door with the yellow dots or the yellow door with the purple dots. There is just something about those 2 colors that I have always loved. Even a purple and yellow striped door would be nice.

    • Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.
Yellow is the color of sunshine. It’s associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy. Yellow produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy. Yellow is often associated with food. What beautiful color combinations you have chosen!!

    • did I mention I just bought a purple car? Chevy calls it Grape Ice. OnStar has another name for it. But it is all purple to me. 🙂 I’m thinking bright yellow throw pillows.

  4. Thought about it. When I was younger I would have gone for red. But now it would be an azure blue door with a crystal door knob for whimsy. Blue for peace, tranquility and possibilities; skies the limit right? Blue is a cool color too and, most days, I can sure use the cooling off. Lol
