~ MOON WISHES ~

boatMy gaze is drawn upon you
To set my true intention
Inside my heart is where it dwells
Tonight’s the time to mention

What is my dream, what do I love
Do I know my passion?

Oh my sweet moon way up above
From you I’ll try to ration

I wish to write what makes you smile
To inspire all who read
I wish to write and all the while
Help anyone in need

I offer you my wish oh lunar
As you dazzle the evening sky
Let it come true oh even sooner
Then one can blink an eye

Oh lovely, lovely lunar
How bright and full you are
A Supermoon beyond compare
A big and beautiful star

A harvest of your bounty
Shrouded in myths and legends
Your moon beams they surround me
And fill me with your essence

I am beyond to get this chance
To wish my dream come true
Around and round the moon I dance
To bow and say thank you!

  1. Wow, Deb!
    This is beautiful!
Like a nursery rhyme with the depth of an ocean!
I like your style! It reminds me of Owl City songs.
    I propose we co-write a song/poem/anything!

    Keep writing!

    Cheers!
    Aamir
