Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers – The Decision

Should I or shouldn’t I?  Dare I or don’t I?  What can they say?  What do I care?  If I want to do this then I should.  It’s harmless, right?  I don’t see anything wrong with it, who would object?  Hmmm will I get in trouble?  I don’t think trouble is the proper word.  Will it be frowned upon, but again I’m not harming anyone or anything.

Why do I care so much about what others might say or think?  I should live my life the way I want to and be true to myself, right?  I cannot believe how much anxiety this is causing me, I’m exhausted.

If I want to wear this costume to work for Halloween then I will!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

Our prompt photo is provided by pixabay.com. This is my 125 word story for the FFfAW Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers Challenge. We are given a prompt photo and approximately 100-150 words with which to write a story. It is fun and addicting and everyone is invited to participate.

  6. That was truly a surprise ending! I like how you build up the tension and then let it burst in one humorous final punch line. Lovely Halloween story!
