A great quote! I am grateful for love and, because I had to get up at 5 this morning, I will echo Aneena k.g’s sentiment – thanks for coffee ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. I think a better way to say it would be, don’t be afrraid to take risks. I feel that we are afraid to do some things for a perfectly good reason. Fear is a survival emotion. Good morning!! ((Hugs!)) xoxo

  4. The True Light!

This is an area of improvement for me. My big fear is public speaking which of course is quite common for many people. And even though I’ve been told I have a good presence and voice for it, it still scares the crud out of me! I would be grateful if I could overcome some of that, but it’s hard to even make a self-commitment to try…

    • You should do the readings at your church…God will be with you! ๐Ÿ™‚

I have led a few prayers from the pulpit, and did okay. And I comment in our bible studies which usually have about 20 or so people.

I suffer from what is called anticipatory anxiety. It’s one of those things where if I am not called upon today to pray or something, I will eventually be called and the thought of that works on my nerves. It’s impossible to live like that and worship properly…

I get the “flop sweats” sometimes. I get them a lot in some situations. Most people won’t say much when they notice it, but it just “kills” me with embarrassment! That’s because I know they realize I’m nervous and may feel bad for me. I don’t want that.

There may be a couple of other things too, but the sweats is the one big one.

    • Don’t you know you’re supposed to imagine them in their underwear as you speak to them…my mind wouldn’t be able to function and think about what I want to say if I was trying to picture people in their underwear. I know what you’re saying though I get very nervous if I have to speak in front of people too!

There are just some people you don’t want to try to imagine what they look like in their “chonies!” Oh man! Especially a group of seniors at church, or anywhere!

Oops, guess I gotta be careful with that one…I’m “getting up there” myself! Can’t pick too much on seniors…Lol…

It’s funny, people from my bible classes always say they appreciate my comments and that they’d like to hear me preach a sermon sometime. Oh my gosh, I was like 15 years old the last time I did that. That was…oh well, you don’t want to know how many years ago that was!

Stats show that some people are more afraid of public speaking than of dying! That’s serious fear…

    • I might fall into that category…only because I am not afraid of dying at all…not to sound morbid but I’m actually looking forward to it because I picture serene bliss, peace, joy, love 24/7…who wouldn’t want that! I bet your comments are really worth hearing, sincerely!! That’s quite a compliment and one I’m sure is very well-deserved! You need to give yourself much more credit and appreciation you truly are a kind-hearted and caring soul, whom I so happy to have gotten to know better, advantage me! ๐Ÿ™‚

Well I think the advantage is more mine…okay, maybe equal! I do think what I have to say is worth hearing sometimes, I try to make astute observations when I can.

It’s just that occasionally I get that feeling that I might have missed something rather obvious and it’s too late to “unsound the horn” after one has made the comment. I even did that here once quite a while ago when I “Liked” a post which I didn’t really read and it came back on me with some real embarrassment!

Anyhow, I think you are a true, caring person with a great big heart, and it’s nice to know! So there, take that!!! Lol!!!

    • LOL!!! We should have a contest to see who can out compliment the other…how big would our heads be by the end!! I think we’d be really great at, cuz you’re super great with all you have to say… ๐Ÿ˜‰ HA!
