So very true…and I am with you: hold on to and cherish the little things…I am grateful for life, family and love…

  2. This is so true! Good morning Deb! I found out yesterday that Al Forbes deleted my story off of his InLinkz challenge board for Sunday Photo Fiction, so I’m kinda bummed today. Have a great day today and don’t work too hard! ((HUGS!!)) xoxo

  3. The True Light!

This saying is so true! Big things in life are great. But they are usually highly anticipated and looked forward to with huge excitement. When they arrive, we enjoy them, but when they are gone they are gone. Even the memories of them begin to fade.

But with little daily things, they can be completely satisfying and bring a smile to our faces and a warmth to the soul! They aren’t always anticipated, so they may surprise us which is so nice. And they can happen every few days so they last in our memories longer. I’m grateful for the everyday things, the small little delights which come along so often!

    • You hit the nail on the head, all that you wrote is so very true!! “It’s the little things that mean alot”…circa Sonny & Cher… πŸ˜‰

I think it people like yourself who make this world make sense. Does that make sense?

You are well grounded in the “every day,” Deb. Many people try to escape such a life, but the solidly focused, and most grateful people run to it! Those who have learned to enjoy many things which escape the notice or appreciation of others are very pleased and content with their blessings. You are one of those types.

That’s not to say you don’t want more, nor lack dreams for your life, because I know that isn’t true with you. You just travel to a lower-keyed beat, a mellow tune, and that’s so fantastic!

Now if I could just make you a Bronco fan…Lol!

    • I laughed right out loud when I read that last line!!! I’ll never abandon my Patriots, I have been a fan for 40 years..oh my goodness…yikes! Thank you for your kind words, I love your description that I travel to a lower-keyed beat, a mellow tune I think that is very accurate…most of the time! I have been known to have my moments though… πŸ˜‰

A drum always remains the same drum, even if different tunes are played on it at certain times! We all have our “moments” when we change our tune…

No chance then on the Bronco fan thing, eh? Lol.

    • Oh my goodness I have had so many “moments” in the last few years it’s amazing! I keep going thru these different “phases”, if you will, ever since I started with all this menopause stuff…probably more information than you want to hear but it’s amazing what hormones or lack of them do to you mentally as well as physically! And look at you talking about KC and that’s who we are playing…if they beat us I may just have to root for Denver if they beat Pittsburgh…my mother is a huge Peyton Manning fan so she’s a Denver fan now…she’s very torn when we play each other!! Stay tuned… πŸ˜‰

Funny but I’ve been finding out what changes are involved in “male menopause,” or just growing older. You know, people worry about that talk they need to have about sex with their kids.

I say someone should have been more concerned with a talk about changes that come with age! I have changed so much in the past 6-8 years or more. And no, you didn’t give me “TMI” here. I don’t mind that kind of talk or information at all.

Yes, I know you guys will have the time of your life playing KC this week. I tell you, they are a confident bunch right now, but the Pats are no “lay down” team either! It should be an interesting game if N.E. can keep their “O” line together and find an offense. In playoff games, it often comes down to good defense too so we’ll see who has the better game there as well.

As for Denver vs. Pitt.,the defenses will figure in as well. The bigger question however is whether or not Manning can go a complete game and be as effective as he was against the Chargers? That’s a “wait and see” moment for Denver.

And your mom is beautiful! I don’t even know her but if she’s a Peyton fan, she’s great!! Stay tuned is right…

    • You are so right about “the talk” they should tell you what kind of changes you are in for. I should write a book about that…actually there are books about menopause aren’t there…I wonder if they touch on all the “things” that happen to you!! Yikes! You are right, offense wins games, defense wins championships…so this will be interesting! Ben was hurt in the game too so I wonder what kind of shape he’ll be in as well. I’ll tell my Mom, she’ll say you are a wise man and smart too!! πŸ™‚ Wishing your team good luck THIS weekend!! πŸ˜‰

    • Thanks, Deb. As you know, I’m letting this site go in favor of doing other things. I’ve left the webpage up for a while at the request of a reader who asked me to.

I want to thank you for your friendship and support here. And I hope your Pats get as close to the Super Bowl as they can…without getting in…(sorry, but as I’ve said, I’m tired of N.E. always being there!)

BTW, your mom sounds delightful, and very smart too! And write that book on “the changes” from a funny point of view. It’ll be interesting and surprising to a lot of people!

    • Thanks Steve, I wish you every wonder and fulfillment in the world!!
It’s been so great conversing with you and getting to know you, I will miss that. I understand you’re not wanting the Pats in the SB, it’s okay…guess you’ll just have to find something else to watch that day πŸ˜‰
Thanks my Mom is delightful, she’s a wonderful woman and I will tell her you thought so too.
When I first started my blog my intent was to write anecdotes about the change in a funny way and kind of drifted down another path…I will heed your advice and start to work on it!!
Best of Everything to you!! πŸ™‚

    • Congratulations my friend! Enjoy the Super Bowl…hope all is well with you and you are finding your way!!

    • The True Light!

Thanks, Deb. It was a very close game with N.E. and could have gone either way. My wife and I were rooting so hard and ready to pray for Denver to win!

As for myself, I am still looking around at some options. My commitment to God is very serious to me, and I can’t waiver in it too long.

    • It was certainly a nail biter…I was doing some praying here too… πŸ˜‰
Hand it over to Him and let him guide you…it’s the best way!
That’s what I have done, it gives you a sense of peace! πŸ™‚
