  3. My grandmother used to give me a concoction similar to this years back. Even in grade school, she had me sipping whiskey and honey to kill my ails. It always worked and still use it from time to time. Glad you are feeling better!

  5. Reading about the word Toddy it remembers me of a tree what very commonly they used to extract some juice from a tree tying a mud pot in the night to it. The juice if drunk before 6 am it was very good for health and people with chronic problems used to go to the villages and wait the whole night for the juice till morning and have it. But after 6 am when the sun comes out and it is dawn the whole juice was considered as liquor and sold as country liquor. Now it is banned in India and the trees have also invisible.
Your this post makes sense to drink TODDY!
    Cheers!

    • Huh, I wonder if that’s where the word Toddy originated from for Hot Toddy…I bet it is! What fascinating stories you tell!!
      Thanks Shiva.

    • As you said it might be true, because the juice used to get automatically converted into liquor as the day gets hot. It was consumed like in hell and there used to be mass deaths when something went wrong. The person consuming it behaved like in heaven and creating hell. I have seen it as the business was roaring besides my school in a dwelling. Police used to come and check and take the guys involved in it.

I also like the design of the Post, the Color and the Glass. The lime; my favourite – everyday atleast half of it I consume while I eat. I am famous in my inner circle to have to consume lime in such odd proportions. No food for me without that.
I love Glasses made of different shapes and size, I do have a collection.
Congrats my Deb on this Post.

    • Yes it went, at the time I replied, I was going to bed and had come after a terrible travel for a day and the work.
I do not have that great a collection to show it to the international audience. There is nothing in the head to make it a great post either.
I am on preparing for the Appreciation Award Post which Pam of Indestructible Joy has presented me a month back or so. You also get prepared for that as I am awarding to YOU that one too.
      How are you Deb!
      Fond Regards,
