  2. There are several I could use but I can only think of one, “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” Good morning, Deb! I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! ((HUGS!!)) xoxoxo

    • I remember that Madeeha, do you celebrate Mother’s Day? 😊

    • Not precisely, for I believe that every day is a mother’s day 🙂
The world is a global village and living in this time of fast pace technology, we’re prone to absorb a thing or two from other cultures. It’s been some time that here in my country the media is trying to propagate the message of Mother’s day, more specifically its sole purpose is of commercialization but large number of population shows no interest in this phenomena.
Actually, Islam already gives great importance to mothers, to disobey parents is a major sin in Islam and just to share there’s this verse from Holy Quran

“We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents; in pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth”
Obedience to both parents is must but you’ll find it interesting that mothers have more rights then fathers.

“Do good to and serve your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father, then the near relatives and then those who come after them” (Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H))
It doesn’t matter if parents are old, for they continue to live with their children and enjoy their vital position in homes and this is the reason that every day is a Mother’s day for us 🙂
Sorry, if this answer gets too long but I thought you’ll find it interesting to read 🙂
Here is a link to a post which my country fellow has written on this occasion

    • Thanks Madeeha, I found this very interesting to read. I love learning about cultures. I think that the great importance shown to Mothers in Islan is wonderful and I did find it surprising that Mothers have more rights than Fathers…but then that’s how it should be, right? 😉
Thank you for sharing that link. One of my commenters, Maha Khan, left that very quote – Paradise lies under the feet of Mother – I thought that was so beautiful and now that link had that same comment!
The older the parents get the wiser they become and the more they can teach us. We should always revere them. Actually every day should be Parents Day!! 🙂
I have only been a mother to a dog, I don’t have any human children, but thank you!! 🙂 And thank you again for your informative response, keep them coming… xo
