  1. Neighbours joined us for dinner tonight. I’m grateful for their friendship and pretty happy, too, that everything turned out well. I’d be really extra grateful if someone else turned up to do the dishes, but that’s most unlikely.

    • Yes, I care for people in their homes.

    • You truly are a special young woman with such a caring, giving, and loving soul! xo

    • Thank you. I am glad you told me that. Because I am getting really fed up with not being appreciated enough. Instead of being glad to see me, before yesterday, my fiancΓ© was giving me a hard time about being later than average. Excuse ME for having co-workers that call off at the last minute. When I am at work, when my bosses ask me to jump, I am to ask how high. It seems like I piss someone off every time I turn around, I am ready to snap. But, with your words, my soul is pacified.

    • You’re tired, you’ve been working too much and you’re getting fried! You would have more patience with your fiance and work if you had more time to yourself. You need to learn to say No to work now and then. It’s not your responsibility to take care of everyone all the time…it’s not good for your mental health…please…just say NO! Maybe your fiance misses you and rather than telling you that, he snapped at you instead. Someone who takes care of others is a very special person…that’s who you are!!! xo

    • I have had to say “no” to work lately. I already had out of work plans, and they are just as sacred. In fact, they wanted me to go in yesterday evening, but I told them I was traveling to see my mother this weekend and needed an early start. And yeah, my fiancΓ© has been kinder to me since I work slightly less. He told me the nice way how he felt, and he is sorry he snapped.

    • Good for you!! Yes your out of work plans are just as sacred if not more so!! I’m so happy you are traveling to see your Mom…safe travels!! I think your fiance was missing you…sure sounds like and I can understand why he would!! I’m glad he was kind to you and made you feel better and said sorry!! Enjoy your weekend!!! xo

    • I know that’s right. Thank you, Deb. And yeah, that amount if work was a bit much. I am paying for it now.

    • Well let your Mom pamper you all weekend…if that’s possible!!! And if so, milk it for all it’s worth…we all need pampering now and then!! πŸ™‚ xo

    • Heh. My mom didn’t pamper me. She just let me stay the night, hang out with her, and then hang out with my stepfather and his brother. Honestly, I went more to see her for her birthday. I didn’t require anything of her.

    • No, but that comfort of Mom is always a welcomed one! Glad you were able to get away and visit, especially for her birthday!! πŸ™‚

    • AW! Why so many days in a row?

      Like

    • Because my lazyass co-workers called off, and I was the best person to ask to cover their asses.

    • Do you go to these people’s homes to take care of them?

      Like

    • I filled in for my lazy co-workers. And… the schedule was messed up.

  4. So true Deb. Sometimes a step back, or side ways or not at all. Like me today. I skipped my Zumba class today, not because I didn’t want to go, but because my body was telling me to stop and rest … and I listened for a change. πŸ™‚

  6. Deb!
If we cannot get a Break we have always the option to apply the Brake.
Both these, Break and Brake shall make us to take it.
So, See, Now, I took the break and applied the brake to come to your blog, otherwise it was going whichever and wherever direction it wants. I mean the boat which you have kept it empty. Imagine me going like that.
    Hahaha

  10. I am grateful to hear the birds sing and see the flowers bloom. I really like your blog.

    • Oh thanks for sharing, I love hearing the birds too. I have a nest in my wreath on my front door and the Mama bird just hatched her babies a couple of days ago. I have a glass oblong center going down the door saw I can watch her feed them, it’s been wonderful to watch the whole journey!! Thank you for that, I’m truly happy you like it! πŸ™‚

    • We had a family of doves on our back porch. The babies just left the next yesterday. Sniff. There are so much fun to watch as they grow up.

    • Aren’t they? Mama bird is feeding her babies right now and Daddy keeps bringing her more food to give them. It’s so sweet. I completely understand your sniff… πŸ™‚
