  3. Hi Deb,
I’m forwarding you a quote that has been an encouragement for me…hope it helps 🙂

  4. It’d hard to understand. I’ve given up asking for favors recently because nothing seems to happen the way it should.
Today I’m grateful for a kind woman who allowed me to open my heart to her. xo

  5. That’s kind of you to ask a favor for someone else. I can understand why you are upset. I’m sorry he didn’t answer your request. Maybe it’s suppose to turn out a different way? Good morning, Deb! I hope you have a wonderful day inspite of being upset. ((HUGS!!)) xoxoxo

    • Wow PJ I can’t find this comment under my comments button on my dashboard which is where I usually read comments….so I never responded…I;m so sorry!! My parents are up here on vacation (they live in Florida) and my mother has very poor vision and tends to fall and break something. So I asked God to please keep her from falling so she doesn’t get hurt while up here on vacation. Well she fell on Wednesday, and they are up in Maine right now.. she fractured her femur which has a rod in it from her hip surgery. The Dr. said she was not going to need surgery but she will need physical therapy. They were supposed to arrive at my house today to spend the week with me before going home on Thursday. Now she’s in a hospital in Maine and won’t be discharged until Sunday or Monday, she has a fractured femur, needs physical therapy and so feeling totally disgusted! In the last couple of years she has fallen and broke each wrist in separate falls, broke her shoulder, broke her back, and now fractured her leg. I was so angry with God, I was beside myself…I feel soooo bad for her!! Anyway I told her if she wanted to stay here and have her physical therapy and go home later that was fine with me, which I believe is what she is going to do. She’ll see how she progresses. It was such a simple request, one that I felt He could do…I felt let down!

    • Deb, I am so sorry to hear that! I feel so badly for your poor mother! Bless her heart! I hope her fracture is able to heal quickly. I just feel terrible for her. I understand you wanting God to keep her from falling and why you would be upset because he doesn’t seem to answer you. The main thing now is that she heal and get well and hopefully, she can stay with you in order to do that. I understand your frustration.

    • Thanks PJ. She’s actually doing pretty good, the doctors are impressed with her, especially given her age, she’s 83. Yes, she and my father are just waiting for her to get discharged so they can come here and recoup. Looks like it will be Monday. I picked up some necessary medical equipment for her and I’m ready for her so I’m anxious for her to get her too! Yes I was so angry with God..He sure got an earful from me. So now I told Him he has to give her a speedy and painless recovery. Looks like He may be doing that, the painless part not so much but her speediness looks like maybe so. 🙂

    • I’m so glad to hear that she and your father will be at your home on Monday! That’s very kind of you to pick up the medical equipment she will need to recover. I am also happy to hear that she is having a speedy recovery and I truly hope that continues. That has to stink to be on vacation and break your femur!

    • I know, right? That’s one reason I was so upset…I was like “can’t she even go on vacation without getting hurt?”
      Thank you!! xoxo

    • Our bones get weaker the older we get. My mother is almost 87 years old.

    • Yeah the thing is her eyesight is poor so she has a hard time judging, she has fallen 5 times in the past couple of years and broke each wrist, her shoulder, her back and now cracked her femur. She’s quite disgusted…which I can’t blame her…although I must say her spirits are pretty good right now considering.

    • Your poor mother! Breaking so many bones must be very painful! Can she not get her eyesight corrected with glasses? That would be nice if she could get it corrected and for it to help her not fall any more.

    • No she has macular degeneration, one eye is blind, and the other really bad. She gets shots in them every 3 months to help slow it down but there’s no fixing it. She does wear glasses…

    • That is so sad. I’m not familiar with that disease. Bless her heart! She will be in my prayers to recover quickly and hopefully, as painlessly as possible!

    • It is sad, she has lost her independence, that’s the hardest thing for her to deal with. Thank you so much, I so appreciate your prayers and kind words!! I’ll keep you posted on her progress. xo

    • Sometimes I don’t understand you. Why would you laugh at my anguish…my mother fell and fractured her femur bone, in which she has a rod from a hip replacement operation, she is currently in the hospital and in a lot of pain. Do you think that is funny?

    • OMG!
This I had not expected of and you had not mentioned about it anywhere. Had you to write that the favour was for your mother. When you have mentioned it as a small favour that you had asked and for that you been angry with him. I had to comment that way.
Please do not misunderstand me. Its your Mom or mine its the same for me. I have included her in my prayers just now this morning for her recovery and good health. It may take time, please be patient.
I shall be travelling for the next four or five days. My best wishes to you always.

I am in a hurry. Please excuse.
