  1. Oh my goodness, now that photo brought back memories. I grew up on Sorry, Monopoly and Payday. Loved board games and now as a family we have our favorites like Blokus and even Scrabble. We don’t play them as often as we used to though. Thanks for bringing back happy memories Deb. xo

  3. My all-time favorite game is chess. I love it. I think that the last board game that I had played was pictionary. That was fun, too.

    • Oh Chess such strategy..takes quite the mind for that game…and you have it!! I bet you are a master at it. I played when I was young, my father had a really nice chess set, the pieces had velvet bottoms that slid so nice along the board. πŸ™‚

    • I do enjoy it. My chess set is Arthurian, and I loved reading about King Arthur as a boy, so it seemed fitting.

    • Wow I just googled it, very cool. Were your pieces painted? They had sets that were very colorful.

    • My pieces are painted. I have a handmade Italian chess board with four types of hardwood. I have a photo somewhere that I’ll post soon. I found a stock image of the pieces that I have online. It doesn’t do the pieces justice!

    • I was thinking about chess last night and thought to myself that it shares a characteristic with music. Each game is different, with a different outcome. Just like writing a song. More importantly, they’re both like life. We start each game, each song, and each day not knowing where or how it ends. But being part of the adventure is what it’s all about. Merry Christmas, Deb. You always bring about feelings of happiness when I read your posts and exchange comments with you. I wish you the best in the holidays ahead and peace and happiness in 2017.

    • Awe now you’ve gone and done it, you’ve brought happy tears to my eyes. Thank you Rob! Your words mean the world to me, they are always filled with such kindness and thoughtfulness. Your songs are filled with the feelings from your soul, continue to share that with us for we are graced with your gift. I wish you the true meaning of Christmas and that it may stay with you all year long! 2017 is going to be the best year yet, follow your heart, listen to your inner self and you will live in peace and joy, all that you deserve. May you be sprinkled with magic and fireflies every day!!
      Love and hugs!!

  9. I am grateful that we have the Lord to fight our battles. Life throws difficulties and embarrassing situations at us but if we say thank you, for them too( difficult, I know), I think we can be grateful that he will look after his own.
Am in a bit of a soup today and thus this post. But God is great and praise the Lord.

    • Oh boy do I understand what you are saying Susie. My job has been very trying for a couple of years now and yet I do as you are saying, I say Thank you God, even as I’m sitting in the ladies room crying cuz I’m feeling overwhelmed!! God will release me from the situation in due time!!
      God is great, Amen!
