  1. On the flip side, I’m grateful that we sold our ancient piano.

  3. That is a beautiful piano! I took lessons when I was young but I didn’t keep up with them and I really regret that. I too would love to take lessons. I have a good friend that is taking piano lessons. Good morning Deb! I hope you have a magnificent Friday! ((HUGS!!)) xoxoxo

    • When I was young friends of ours didn’t want their piano anymore so my parents said we would take it because I wanted to take lessons. My father and uncles put the piano in the back of a pickup truck and drove it to our house. Well on the way they went around a corner and the piano slid from one side of the truckbed to the other and then flip right over the side of the truck, landing in the street and smashing into a thousand pieces! I was heart-broken…all my life I’ve wanted to take lessons. I can play some, but not with both hands. I can read music, I used to play the trumpet in school. Maybe you should think about taking lessons too. Good evening PJ! Thanks my Friday was magnificent. Hope yours was fabulous!! ((HUGS!!)) xoxo 🙂

    • How sad! I’m so sorry that happened to you. That would be so heartbreaking! I hope you get to take lessons now. I would love to take piano lessons but I would need to get a piano. I use to have an organ that my mother gave me when she didn’t want it anymore and I taught myself to play the organ pretty well. But I stopped playing and my niece wanted the organ so I gave it to her. Now I wish I had not. Glad you had a great day! I am still struggling with this nasty sore throat. Ugh. Have a great evening!

    • One of my uncles had a piano key in his hand, I thought they were joking at first. It was sad, I was so excited about it!! Oh well I think it’s about time to make one of my dreams come true. That’s my problem too, I don’t have a piano so I can take the lesson but don’t have a piano to practice on…yet!! 😉
Oh dear, sorry that your throat is still sore…hope that nasty virus goes away soon!! Thanks, wishing you a wonderful evening too! xo

    • You can buy lessons for the piano over the Internet. My granddaughter bought one of those keyboard pianos and it came with lessons.

  4. Always wanted to learn… my parents were told my fingers were too small initially (codswallop!) Then I took a crash course at 6th form… I thought it would help with my teaching… never used it once, but I’d still love to play… properly!

  5. I am grateful that we have a piano. I play, but my son plays beautifully. I am also grateful for electricity. The wind broke a wire today, and we were without it a good while.

    • I hope to own one some day too! It must be wonderful to listen to your son play. Glad you got your electricity back, it’s quite windy here tonight. I just realized, all my wires are underground. I’ve lived here two and a half years and that never dawned on me til you just said that and I thought oh I hope my wires don’t come down…and that’s when I realized hey I don’t have wires!! HA! Have a wonderful weekend. 🙂

  8. I am grateful today for your patience with me. We had good internet access but limited time. The last week we had less time and terrible access. Now I’m behind in everything and am rebuilding energy. On the topic…
I wanted to play the organ. Parents said “piano” and bought me a junker with keys that didn’t work. I was good but only allowed to play the lesson material. After 7 years I said “enough with this.” I’d still like to play the organ.

    • Oh I’m behind in catching up with your travels. I’m off from work today due to a blizzard we are having so seems like the perfect time to catch up!! Funny my parents bought me an organ for Christmas one year because I didn’t get the piano. It was a small one but I played it for a while then thought enough of this, I’d rather a piano…ha! You should get yourself an organ and play, how relaxing and fun that would be!! Maybe ask Santa for it, give him time to save up. See you later today!! 🙂
