  1. Have had a wonderful holiday but grateful to be heading home tomorrowโ€”a flight and then a long drive.

  2. Sadly, we have had a few too many downpours here this week Deb. Happily, I will be going to Amsterdam soon…

  3. Hi Deb, what a very apt post, it’s been raining cats and dogs here today. Absolutely bucketing down on the coldest day of the year so far. But I’m grateful for my warm house tonight and feeling cosy and snug inside, leaving the worries of the world behind. Big hugs to you my lovely friend. ๐Ÿ’• xo

    • I love throwing thunder and lightning into the mix too!! Yes it’s been raining here yesterday and today and cold and raw as you say. Funny we’re experiencing the same weather mine heading towards summer and yours heading towards winter, but right now we are on equal spheres….today is a new moon so you know what that means…new beginnings! Wishing you new beginnings and happy endings to those worrisome thoughts!! I’m sneaking in some comments from my desk at work…hehe Sleep free my dear friend. Warm cosy hugs to you xo

    • Good morning from here and a good afternoon to you lovely. Hopefully you’ll be finished work for the day soon and can start relaxing and getting into a moongazing mood! Yes, similar weather, similar thoughts … we’re not so far apart really, are we? And my thoughts are with you Deb as I begin another day here. I love the sound of new beginnings, here’s to looking out for those signs of newness. Love you lots. Hugs xo

    • I just finished meditating I try to do 15-20 minutes every night, but I don’t always, but tonight I tried settling in and speaking to Abraham and asked for help in allowing in what I want. I definitely got feedback and advice and I’m going to try following it. I’ll let you know if it works. We are very much alike in thoughts, I love that! My new beginning will be taking this advice, I was told to do it for two weeks so I will and let my new beginning begin! Hey I guess that was my sign of newness…now you have to watch out for yours…feel it. Much love and Super Hugs xo

    • That meditation sounds fabulous and probably just what I need right now. I’m writing this on my lunch break in my office as my manager’s not here today and once again, though I provably shouldn’t be, I’m feeling very overwhelmed. She’s left me so much work and so little guidance and yesterday when she was here all she did was make me feel incompetent. I’m so glad you felt that ‘new beginning’ seeping in, that’s so fabulous so hold on to that feeling. I’m not sure about me but I’ll be looking out for the signs as well. Yes, it’s coming up to a month of work and sometimes I don’t know if I’ll make three of if she’d want me to stay on. Or if I’d even want to. She’s hot given me one word of encouragement since I started. There’s just nothing from her. Yesterday I swear I could hear mum’s voice in my head. saying to me in Italian as I was driving home “just do your best, my sweet girl, just do your best.” That’s what I’m doing and so that’s what I hold on to. What will be will be. There is no point in making myself sick over this job. Big hugs and much love to you Deb and enjoy the rest of your night. xo

    • Oh Mims listen to your Mum. Do you think she would tell you to quit, that this is not the right job? Your manager sounds horrid and like she’s taking advantage of you. Not to mention the fact that she has no clue how to teach or manage!!! One of the owners where I work is like that, he’s a terrible manager. I avoid him as much as possible, fortunately I work closely with his father instead. I think you could use the meditation too. I hope you are at least enjoying your lunch! You know what, you’re a very smart woman so since she’s left with little to no guidance the Universe is handing you an opportunity to step up and do it your way, so that’s what I would do. You write the most amazing stories and you know what you’re doing so do it to your liking if she doesn’t like it then she should give you better guidance. I bet you’d do it better anyway. She’s the incompetent one, she can probably see your talent and is intimidated by you and so she doesn’t want to teach you anything as she’s afraid you’ll take her job. Is there anyone above her who can help You? You do what your gut tells you to do, it’s always right!! You don’t need this crap!! Now I’m fired up if she doesn’t start treating you better she’s going to have to answer to me and it won’t be pretty! Ok that’s my rant for now, have a wonderful rest of your day, I’m in bed, time to sleep, once I calm down. Huge hugs and much love to you precious one. xo ๐Ÿ˜š๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ’—

    • Oh Deb, I both laughed and cried at your rant. I’m home now and things always seem so much better when I’m out of there but at the time, this morning, I was so upset and felt like I needed a rant … trouble is there’s no one around. I read your comment at work and it gave me such a boost that I needed at the time. There’s no above her, just a voluntary Board of Management who seem to find her indispensable. I will do what my guts tells me to, at the moment it’s a day by day thing, just doing my best, to help pay the bills you know, reminding myself also that I still have choices and that I am competent despite what she might think. I’ve actually decided I don’t care what she thinks anymore, which is not normally like me but I have to think this way or I’ll go bonkers! Thank you, thank you, thank you my friend for being there and picking me up when I was down. I know I’ll get through this. I hope you got to sleep ok Deb, I didn’t mean to rile you up. ๐Ÿ™‚ big hugs to you xo

    • Ah yes that feeling you get when home, I know that oh so well. That is what I am striving for. I’m so happy I could help lift you up. I do know what you mean regarding paying the bills, maybe you could continue to look for another job while you pass the time at this one. It was actually fun getting riled up and ranting and fortunately it did not interfere with my sleep. It stinks to have to feel that way about a coworker though and not necessary, I totally know what you are going through. It’s a shame people will be that way, but not us. Time for me to get ready. Have a marvelously peaceful evening. Love you lots and big hugs xo

    • You’re so right Deb, let these cynical unappreciative people be the way they are, I refuse to stoop to that. In the meantime we’ll continue to lift each other up, make each other smile and spread our little bit of joy and gratitude in this world. Glad you slept well and I hope you have a fabulous Thursday. I’m having my green and lemon herbal tea and slowly winding down for the night as you gear up for your day. Keep smiling. Big hugs and love you heaps too. xo

    • Absolutely right! We’ll teach her a thing or two or three. Show her how it’s done and if that doesn’t work, slap her! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Now it’s my turn, I have a pizza cooking in the oven…mmm, my favorite not to be outdone though by following it up with my ice cream later! Wishing you the best Friday ever!!! Talk real soon…lots of love and many hugs. Hey how’s your tooth doing, pain about subsided? I hope, I hope. Ok bye bye for now my gorgeous lady!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Be Happy.

    • Ooh yum, that sounds soooo good. Pizza in the oven followed by ice cream. Don’t know how my tooth would tolerate the extremes in temperature at the moment (still sore, may have to go back tomorrow) but I know my tummy sure could! ๐Ÿ’• Enjoy and have a slice (or two) for me. ๐Ÿ™‚ Big hugs xo

    • I just had your two slices too, you loved them!! The ice cream you shall enjoy later…with no affect to your tooth. Oh boy well good luck if you do have to go back tomorrow. Gotta get that all fixed up so the pain will go away. Don’t respond now I know you’re on your way out the door…have fun, be good and if you can’t be good, be bad!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
      Love you much…xo

    • I think we could get into a lot of trouble together, oh what fun that would be. So putting your manager aside, how do you like the job? Your most welcome for the pizza and ice cream, you did seem to enjoy them as much as I did. I shall dream of wicked things while at work today, hehe. Have a wonderful evening, chat with you later!! Much love xo ๐Ÿ‘ฟ๐Ÿ’ž

    • Look right under the wn in downpours you can see dark eyes, cheek bone, nose and then look a little lower below the po also in downpours I see a face looking at us, it’s smaller than the other one which is more like a profile. Good morning PJ! I’m at work right now but thought I’d say hello. My day is going well. I hope you have a happy day!! ((HUGS!!)) xoxo ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Lol, the letters in the word “downpours” on the poster. Look at the word “Downpours” on the poster, then look below the “wn” in the word doWNpours and that’s where I see a face in the raindrops, also underneath “po”, downPOurs…do you understand what I’m saying? ๐Ÿ™‚ I see them in other spots on the poster too.

    • Hahahaha! I thought you meant you could see faces in each individual raindrop! I went back to the picture and I still couldn’t see the faces you were talking about. Maybe because the picture is smaller on my iPad.

    • Me too! It’s been so rainy & cold, I really prefer 70s & 80s!! With bright sunshine, blue skies, a slight breeze, is that too much to ask??? ๐Ÿ˜‰ hehe

  8. Deb
I think I would prefer rainy weather to any hot day and I say you are lucky!
I am grateful a driver didn’t physically assault me yesterday as we were both driving down a residential lane last night.
I am grateful our supervisor allowed us a French leave day after team building day in May as it is too hot to be outdoors on team building day and the next day could be used for recovery.
I am grateful that I could be assertive enough to ask for the French leave during our staff meeting. ๐Ÿ™‚
I am grateful for a friend I have in a neighboring university who I met during an exam here two years back- our lives have intertwined around much during the past two years and a person like me who has so few people to call friends has at least one in the workplace now.
I am grateful for two strong children who I pray will not let anything affect their spirit.
Deb your comment box is my thankfulness journal for today.

  9. Downpours, thunderstorms, all of the above… amazing. As the kid inside wants to run around and play and the adult wants to quietly forget the world in a rainy isolation. Lovely.
