  2. Deb, that is wonderful! You learned a song on your first lesson! Good job! I’m grateful that today is Saturday! I’ll be watering this morning and cleaning this afternoon. Good morning Deb! I hope you have a magnificent day today! ((HUGS!!)) xoxoxo

    • Thanks PJ! I’m still trying to get comfortable with holding it and my right arm coming over it but this will be fun to hear a year from now. Good morning to you! Thank you and I hope you have a delightful day too. Happy watering and cleaning. I’m going to go put out the bird feeder and refresh the bird bath and then my shopping and laundry. Sounds like we both have full days. ((HUGS!!)) xoxo ☺

    • Have fun with your grocery shopping and laundry!! I am almost finished with my watering for the day!! YAY! Then it will be cleaning. Ugh!! Hahaha! I can’t wait to hear you play your guitar a year from now!!

    • Thanks, you have fun too!! Maybe you’re done now with your cleaning too! My shopping is done and half my laundry. I know right it will be fun to hear how far I’ve come! πŸ™‚

    • Yes! I am done! In fact, I looked at my house and decided it wasn’t dirty so I didn’t have to do much cleaning. Just a few little things. I’m trying to get out of that mode that I got into while working… “It’s Saturday so I have to clean.” Now, it is like, “Why clean if it isn’t dirty!? So what if it’s Saturday!” LOL!

    • I’m so happy that you didn’t have much to clean. Isn’t it funny the routines we have and how hard it is to change them. If I wasn’t working I’d probably follow the cleaning routine I grew up with. I still remember what we did each day, like vacuum on Mondays, dust on Tuesdays etc etc. HA! That’s right, so what if it’s Saturday, that means it’s time to play. πŸ˜‰

    • That’s funny that is how you grew up cleaning. I grew up that every Saturday morning my sister and I had to clean and we couldn’t go anywhere until we finished.

    • Oh we did bigger chores on the weekend like rake the yard, paint the house, clean the cellar…we all did it together, including my parents but yup I could tell you what we did each day of the week. I get my organizational skills from my Mom. πŸ™‚

    • Yes, I can tell you get your organizational skills from your mother. In our house the girls cleaned the house and the boys cleaned the yard. (Except my brothers rarely had to clean the yard) My sister and I had to clean every Saturday. My dad was real big on “boys don’t do women’s work!”

    • We all did everything…my brother dusted right along with us…I think that was only fair…actually it’s made me a much more independent person knowing how to do “manly” things too!

    • When it came to raising my son he had to help clean house and help do the dishes just like my daughter had to. It made him a much better husband and he has a very happy marriage because he helps his wife with housework and cooking. I just talked to my daughter and she told me that it was 122 degrees in Phoenix the other day. YIKES!!!

    • I wish I hadn’t given my organ to my niece! Darn! I would love to learn to play it again. I taught myself to play and did very well! Then I got bored with it and let my practicing go. My niece wanted it so I let her have it.

    • Hmmm when I went to the music store they had digital pianos for as little as $700, I was expecting a few thousand…and they had keyboards there too. I didn’t price those, or look in your paper or online and see if anyone is looking to sell theirs and buy one. Treat yourself!! You deserve it. And Sugar and howl along…hehe

    • Or maybe your niece has tired of it and would be interested in giving it back to you…you never know until you ask. You could always ask her if she plays the organ much and see what she says. Maybe the Universe will answer you again

    • My niece painted it psychedelic colors! It is now yellow, blue, green and red!! I wouldn’t want it back and besides, I know she wouldn’t give it back. She is very attached to that organ.

    • Oh my, I guess she really put her touch on it…well as long as she’s enjoying it. You know how got bored…thought maybe she did. But it probably would not go with your dΓ©cor…Lol.

    • She has it in her storage shed now. She never was going to learn to play it. She just wanted it because it use to be my mother’s (her grandmother’s).

  8. Way to go on the guitar lessons! Several (like a lot!) of years ago I purchased an acoustic guitar. I intended to learn to play. I self-taught myself some things and then let it go. It now sits in it’s case in my closet…..perhaps I should dig it out again.
