  2. Pillow looks comfy and maybe comforting. Grateful today for the friends who have helped us with things we can’t reach or lift as we prepare for 100 mph wind.

    • Oh George it is sooo comfortable, I should know I’m the pillow queen. I have so many, as I can never find one that is comfy, this one is!! I hope you don’t get those winds…it keeps shifting west let’s hope it breaks down more and dies in the gulf!! Wouldn’t that be lovely, in the meantime I’m grateful you have those friends too. My parents are leaving this morning to head to Ocala, although it’s looking where they are now might be a better spot. I’ll be thinking of you!!

    • I tried to reply earlier, and I kept getting “failed. Retry?” Prayers for your parents. I don’t have any advice they don’t already know. Aren’t they east, near US17? Maybe they should consider the structure in which they will be staying. In theory, one should choose a block/stucco house over a mobile or manufactured home.

    • You probably tried posting while I had rescheduled my post to post…it’s usually a 2 minute duration and during that time I can’t comment or like and no one can comment or like to me. My parents drove to Ocala this morning, they left around 11:30, I believe they take Rt 44, anyway they arrived safe and sound with no traffic problems at all. My father said that they maybe saw 5 cars on their way. They are staying in a house, not sure what’s it made of, but they have a generator so they’re all set if they lose power. Looks like where my parents live won’t be hit nearly as hard as originally expected…but they were only like 25 miles from the east coast and were worried when they said it was going to track up the east coast. I think I’ve told you but they live near Deland, they do live in a mobile home park that’s why they wanted to leave. The winds keep diminishing I hope that’s a trend!

    • I just posted a blog. In it I reminded friends never to ride out a hurricane in a mobile home. I’m not surprised at the lack of traffic because they were going west. Going north would be a different matter.
Sadly, the NHC is currently thinking Irma will make landfall at Ft. Myers as a Category 4 and remain a Category 3 until almost to Georgia. Praying for it to continue west and at least not directly hit all those people (and me!).

    • Yes a mobile home is not where you want to be in a hurricane! I’m pushing it west George as strong as I can…hoping you only get a few guts of maybe 40 if necessary!! Keep me posted on how you are doing as long as possible!! Sending hedges of angels and lots of prayers to all of you and Florida!!!

  5. Today I am grateful for homegrown cherry tomatoes. My pawpaw taught me to love them when I was a child. Right off the vine with salt. Glorius.

    • No, we’re too far north. How about you? I’m not sure what part of the country you’re in. School is great we are in our 4th week already. My 18th year. I can’t believe it.

    • When the storm is bigger than the State you’re in, that’s scary….I keep hoping it breaksdown and hangs out over the water more than the land!! xo

    • Deb – I simply can’t imagine! There’s going to be a lot of help needed afterwards too.. You’re right lets hope it’s ‘stormy waters’… xx

    • I know, it’s mind blowing. They have the entire State’s National Guard ready, telephone and electricity workers from other States arrived Friday and Saturday to be there all ready for when the lines go down. They’ve prepared as best they can…it’s now in God’s hands! xo

  7. Your new pillow looks sumptuous and so comfy Deb. I can almost feel how smooth it is from here. Enjoy. Isn’t it nice to indulge. Right now I’m siting in bed with my fluffy robe on, feeling toasty and warm, drinking a cup of morning tea, writing to you. That’s what I’m grateful for. Enjoy your weekend. xoHugs ❤️

    • Well you must be almost ready for bed. So happy you’ve had a lovely Sunday! It’s sunny and cool here this morning. Just brought the feeders out, I think I might be listed on the birds Google map for nearby restaurants, because they wait in the tree for me and then it’s like a coffee clatch out there!! I
Its so fun to watch. I’ll check my mail, thanks. Have a beautiful night’s sleep. Big hugs xo 💖

    • Hehe, I think you are right…especially the BlueJay family they are so loud, I always know when they are around. I think everyone knows when they are around. So they spread the word and now they’ve all arrived.

  10. Oooh “The Pillow” I should be really grateful to my pillow. Without which I wouldn’t survive, in one night I do not know how many hundred times I keep revolving and squeezing it. It is so comfy to take all the pains I give it….😂😇
