OUR DAILY GRATEFUL POST!

TODAY I AM GRATEFUL FOR SLUGS!

I KNOW, YOU’RE PROBABLY ALL THINKING SLUGS?  YUP SLUGS.
I HAVE DECIDED TO PAY CLOSER ATTENTION TO THE UNIVERSE, THE SIGNS BEING SENT TO ME AND TO TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED.  THIS MORNING I WENT TO CHECK ON THE PRAYING MANTIS, I’LL BE POSTING A VIDEO UPDATE ~ ALL IS WELL

WHEN I FINISHED RECORDING THE PRAYING MANTIS I NOTICED THIS SLUG…AND YES OF COURSE I LOOKED UP ITS SYMBOLISM
(I also looked up to see if Praying Mantis eat Slugs, and although it’s not their favorite treat, they do indeed, so I may not see this guy again)
I didn’t even notice the other slug when I was recording this, in fact there were two others.  I love the little eyeballs on the end of the antennae.

SYMBOLISM
On a spiritual level, the slug is a reminder that the Biblical phrase, “Ask and it shall be given…” is active within our life. The slug reminds us that if we know the proper way to ask, we will begin to manifest that which we need or desire.
The slug reminds you the magic to do what you wish is already present in spite of what others might say.
The slug’s appearance reminds us that we will soon recognize and realize the illumination that is always present within us.
The slug reminds us that we are on the path to giving birth to our inner Holy Child.”
(Slug from Ted Andrews “More Simplified Magic”)

“The Snail and Slug are communicators on all levels; spiritual, physical, emotional and mental. They are nocturnal creatures and share their flow of affection with the Moon, the feminine principle of CreationThere is also a warning that comes with the Slug and Snail and that is to beware of becoming too slow-moving and lazy.  Always keep your sights on the destination, on where your Hearts desire and compassion take You. Keep true to who You are as an individual and always understand that You are responsible for the path of the Beholder.”

I LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING MY SIGNS AND MEANINGS AS THEY APPEAR – THIS COULD BECOME A NATURE POST  😉

what are you grateful for ~ please share…

Thank you!

  1. Oh my, where to start. Firstly he’s cute, not icky, ha, how ironic that my pet name for hubby is Doug the Slug! But beyond that your video and your words in particular gave me major goosebumps. The words here, the mention of illumination is what I’ve just written in my latest post, which is scheduled for tomorrow my time. Aligned again. This guy was definitely on a mission, so focused on where he’s going. What a major form of symbolism that is in itself.
Great post Deb, fascinating stuff. Here’s to noticing all the signs. They’re always around us aren’t they. We just need to have our eyes open. Big big hugs xo

    • Lol that is funny that you call him Doug the Slug…now you know the symbolism of it too!! Isn’t it amazing how these creations of God all have such meaning behind them…then again I guess since God created it, that doesn’t surprise me. Oh I will have to come see what you have written when it posts. The signs really are all around us and if we just stop and pay attention and see and listen! I did it again today…it’s getting easier and easier to manifest…and it’s so simple yet for some so elusive…because the key is to believe! Just believe…ooooh I feel a new song coming on!!! Big big hugs to you too my dear xo

    • Absolutely Deb. I’m a big believer in looking out for those signs and paying attention too. Mm, believe, oh yes there is definitely a song in there. I can feel it in my bones. Enjoy the music and the rest of your Sunday there Deb. Here a new week has just dawned, it’s windy today and the sky is a pretty patchwork of blue and white. Big new day hugs to you xo

    • I was thinking of different verses while I was in the shower…I love how we always have great thoughts while showering, plus I had Abraham playing on YouTube which was also inspiring me.
Oh a patchwork sky that sounds pretty. I hope the wind is not too chilly…as I love windy days!! I posted a video of the Praying Mantis enjoying the shrubs!
Wishing you a marvelous Monday and big new day hugs to you too!! xo 🙂

    • I love windy days too, they always make me feel invigorated and like anything is possible. And it’s actually not too chilly today. The downside is it’s a super hay fever season and my son Daniel suffers particularly bad so he’s just gone off for school full of symptoms. Have tried so many different things to try and help him.
Inspiration in the shower, yep, that’s a good place. Keep on dreaming lovely lady and I’ll look forward to checking out your Praying Mantis in a little while. Big hugs xo 🙂

    • Yes very invigorating!! Oh sorry to hear about Daniel. I have friends who suffer from allergies and some of them get shots…they are doing so much better. They are on a maintenance plan now and they get them every 3 weeks…but so worth it. Something you might want to consider.
Here’s a start…”come ride upon my dream with me, leave far behind reality” 😉
      Big dreamy hugs!! xo

  3. Oh my gosh, so gross! I’m not use to seeing slugs because we don’t have them here. We have snails. but not slugs. I picked up a bunch of snails and put them in my trash can. Good morning Deb! I hope you have a magnificent day today! ((HUGS!!)) xoxoxox

  5. I love this post! It’s a timely one. In fact, “birth” or the “birthing process” is a recurring theme in my life this season. Thanks for sharing this. God is showing me how he can use anyone in my circle to minister to me. xoxo
