  1. Hahaha! That’s the truth! It’s chilly here this morning! Destiny is doing better but she still has to wear the cone. What are your plans for today? Good morning Deb! I hope you have an incredible day today! ((HUGS!!)) xoxoxoxo

    • It was chilly here this morning too. There was frost on the cars or pumpkin!! πŸ˜‰ I went shopping early this morning, did my laundry and I was working on a new song with the piano too. Good afternoon PJ! Thank you. I hope you are having a peaceful day and so happy to hear Destiny is doing better…yeah it’s important she wear that cone even though it’s a pain! Have you been able to play the organ lately? ((HUGS!!)) xoxo πŸ™‚

    • That is wonderful that you are working on a new song! I am sure it is beautiful! It has been a beautiful day today here. Yes, I have been playing my organ but not as much as I should be playing it!

    • Awe thanks PJ! I’m so glad you got to enjoy a beautiful day, it was here too. Tomorrow we’re supposed to get lots of rain, almost 3″ again and winds up to 50 mph…sounds exciting! hehe…
Don’t worry I didn’t play my piano at all last week nor the week before…sometimes there just isn’t enough time, but today it called to me so I started working on creating the music. πŸ™‚

    • I’m glad you had a beautiful day there too. It is suppose to rain here next week. I doubt that it will be 3″ though. This is such a beautiful time of the year with all the leaves changing color. I don’t look forward to winter and the trees and bushes being bare and ghostly looking. I am thinking about taking piano lessons from that app I was telling you about but I m going to take my time to decide because it is a little pricey. It would be a bummer to pay that and find out it’s only for 3 months or something. I talked to my sister this morning and she is getting down in the dumps because she is so homesick. She said she isn’t eating much there because she missed the food that we eat here. Hopefully she can leave the hospital soon and start on her rehab. Maybe that change will be good for her. Have a wonderful afternoon and evening!

    • I wonder, do you have a local music store, or maybe there are lessons given at the local senior center or library. You should check it out and see, before trying the app. The store I bought my piano at gives lessons, I’m thinking of taking some in the Spring maybe, I’ll see where I’m at by then. Awe I bet she is homesick…who likes being the hospital. Do you know how her bed sore is healing? Or when she will be able to leave to go to rehab? I think rehab will be somewhat better than the hospital. It’s not home but it is one step closer. Yes I do love the beautiful leaves this time of year too….funny cuz I just finished my post for tomorrow, wait til you see it!! I think you might by psychic!! Wishing you a wonderful evening too. xo

    • We don’t have a music store here anymore. The closest would be Durango, Colorado and that is 50 miles away. The Sr. Center doesn’t give lessons either. I’ll do some checking around before I decide. That’s a great idea to take lessons starting in the spring! LOL! So I am a psychic because of your next gratitude post. Haha! I wonder what it’s about? LOL! My sister told me today that she didn’t think her bed sore was healing very well but yesterday I heard it was doing somewhat better. We don’t know how much longer she will be in the hospital and when she will go to rehab. The doctor said it would either be rehab or skilled nursing. I hope it is rehab and not skilled nursing! If it is skilled nursing then she could do that here instead of Albuquerque.

    • Yeah you might ask around too, I know there are people who come to your home or you can go to theirs. If it is skilled nursing you’re right, they could do that at her house, which might not be a bad idea as long as she is well enough for that. Maybe a week of rehab and then home for skilled nursing. πŸπŸ‚

    • Yes, that would be nice. For her to be in her own home for skilled nursing. But I think what they mean is put her in a nursing home for awhile. She would hate that. I guess we will find out soon enough.

    • Oh, yeah rehab would be better then. Well let’s believe the best is going to happen.

  2. Hi deb today we had the chance to.attend the baptism of Zoe’s baby sister. If you remember Zoe is my youngest daughter’s best friend who died of cancer last June at age 14….it was very sad and seeing her family again today being able to make it through is really making us happy.

  3. Haha, love it Deb. What would we do without the undos and the redos!! It’s kinda funny though as I wrote a post last night entirely from my phone with no undo function. I just let the words flow out of me. It was so liberating and so much fun. I hope you’ve had as much fun this weekend writing that second song. I’ve been inspired whilst underneath a very spectacular sky. Now I’ve woken to a rather chilly morning and am looking forward to whatever the day brings. Enjoy your weekend lovely lady. Big hugs xo ✨

    • Yeah I felt like something humorous today, thanks! Oh wow….you were in the vortex while creating your post! I love it when that happens. The great outdoors inspires us! I just finished working on the second song, I’m not done, I’m writing the piano music to go with it…very interesting and fun. I get a melody in my head and then I figure out the notes on the piano. It’s funny as I write it and play it it’s morphing a little differently than I originally intended but that’s ok. It’s so much easier to write the words when you know the tune. Well rug up today (did I use that correctly?) and have another inspirational day my sweet friend. Big hugs to you xo πŸ™‚

    • Hi my lovely. Yes, I think I was most definitely in the vortex when I wrote my post last night. It was amazing, absolutely amazing. I was sooooo inspired and thrilled. And it sounds like you have been too thus weekend, how wonderful!
I love the fact that you had the melody in your head when you were creating your song, that’s going to make is so much smoother and altogether beautiful. Can’t wait to hear it and read it and sing it! So very exciting! I hope you wake to a beautiful Sunday. My weekend has been so special and now I’m home and that’s special too. Big hugs and lots of love. We’ll talk soon xo πŸ’•

    • You sound like you’re on cloud nine, I love it!! Remember how this feels and the next time you need to shift your focus this is what you want to think of. This is what being in the vortex is. I’m so happy you’ve had such a special weekend, put it to music why don’t you. What a lovely tune that would be. Yes the songs coming along quite nicely. It will be interesting to see if I can play it and sing it smoothly. At least you’ll get the idea of how it should sound and then you can put your beautiful voice to it. You’re sound asleep now and I hope you are having magical dreams. My Sunday is a gray and rainy right now and it’s supposed to rain very very hard and get super windy…I’m looking forward to the exciting weather…great day to write and play a song, don’t you think!! Big hugs, lots of love and yes we will talk soon…xo muah!

    • Hiya Deb, I really was on cloud nine when I wrote my post on the weekend, and even the next day I felt it. Yes, very special, Today not so much so, but like you said, I just have to shift my focus and think back to how I felt. Isn’t it amazing how our moods and our emotions can flit so much, depending on the stimulus around us. I think I might need to move to the mountains or by a river, haha. Just kidding, I look outside and know I have heaps to be grateful for. Well, I’m glad the song’s coming along nicely. That wild and rainy weather might be just the tonic for sensual stirrings to come forth. Well, you enjoy that Deb while I try and get myself back into the vortex! Big hugs xo

    • I think the reason our emotions flit so much is because we haven’t practiced controlling them as much as we should. Any by controlling them I mean in a good way. Caring about how we feel, if we care more about how we feel then we wouldn’t allow ourselves to focus on that which does not make us feel good. That is what I have been practicing and it really works. So when I talk about shifting our focus to something more pleasant, even something as simple as a wild breeze blowing our hair all about, it totally makes such a difference in our mood. It’s amazing how easy it is and how well it works. Once we practice it on a regular basis, that is. Oh I’m really loving how the song is coming along and the amazing part is even though I really don’t know how to play yet what little I’ve learned so far has been very helpful. It gives me goosebumps and makes me smile…once have I it down pretty well, I’ll record it and send it to you. In the meantime, go get back in that vortex!! Big Vortex hugs xo πŸ™‚

    • I got goosebumps just reading your words then Deb, about your song, about the breeze in our hair, yes everything you said is true. I know that and yet, sigh, I still get dragged down again. But, not for long. I do care about how I feel. so I’ve just been outside to smell some of my plants, take stock of what’s around me and indulged in a little bit of chocolate … haha, See how quickly I can feel better, you’re rubbing off on me again in such a good way. Lifting those vibes, that’s what it’s all about I know that. Thanks my lovely for always lifting me, Big Vortex hugs back xo

    • The good news is you will never be as down as you once allowed yourself to get because now you do care about how you feel and you know what to do when those negative feelings come creeping in. Oh and of course chocolate is always part of the answer!! hehe Going outside always makes a difference too…I love to stare up at the sky and watch the birds and clouds and trees…they all help to improve my mood if it needs it. You can lift me up my tomorrow morning when it’s Monday and I have to go off to work instead of staying home and continuing to create my song and many others!! I love that we lift each other up!! Big Vortex hugs xo
