  1. Love it! But I’m glad you put the definition of the word in otherwise I’d have had no clue what it was. πŸ’« Oh yes, it’s definitely soothing and captivating. Today I’m grateful for the simple things I got done, washing windows, clean sheets, a walk with Harry, musical progress and balmy weather. Big hugs to you xo πŸ™‚

    • I had not heard of it before either, but I like it! Oh yes howling is such fun and gives a feeling of freedom. You really should try it sometime…Sugar would probably join you. • I will try howling at the moon sometime! LOL! It was a very nice and relaxing physical therapy appt. The water was warm and felt fuzzy soft! I will be having a swimming PT once a week and once a week that isn’t in the swimming pool for 5 weeks. I am glad that your day was wonderful! I really do hope it was! My sister called and told me she was flying home tomorrow. YIKES! She has to be released from the hospital first and I don’t think that is happening tomorrow. She is sick of being in the hospital. I told her to ask them to transfer her to the rehab hospital here. So, we’ll see.

    • I hope you do…you will laugh at yourself the first time then you’ll do a second howl and finally finish it off with a third and think huh, that was fun! Ohhh so glad the water was warm and fuzzy soft, that sounds wonderful! I hope the PT makes you feel all better! Yes my day really was wonderful…they’ve been pretty good lately, thanks! Oh dear I guess she’s had enough..I don’t blame her. That was an excellent idea you had about transferring her to a rehab near her home…at least she’d feel like she was making progress and almost home. I know it will all work out ok, right?

    • Yes, it will work out okay. Her mind is still healing from the surgery. My brother called and is going over there tomorrow to see her and talk to her nurses. We will find out more when we hear back from him.

    • Did you suggest to your brother that he ask about her being transferred closer to home? That would be ideal, I think.

    • Yes, we talked about it briefly but I don’t know that he is going to try and get them to do that. He is just keeping abreast of what is going on with her while she is there. He isn’t in charge of her care or anything.

    • Is she in charge of her own care or is her daughter? Can she check herself out? Just curious.

    • Actually, I think the state is in charge of her care because she hasn’t designated a power of attorney over her medical care. The state does what they think is best for her. Sad, I know. I told her to tell the hospital she wants to be transferred to her home town. I’m sure she will let them know. But it will be up to her case worker.

    • Well let’s hope they let her transfer! Fingers-crossed and positive thoughts in that direction going out.

    • Well, my brother just called me again and the rehab hospital had just called him and told him that my sister fell and broke her hip. She is being transported back to university hospital there in Albuquerque.

    • Oh no!!! Awe PJ I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ll say extra prayers for her.

    • Very sad! I don’t know what is going to happen for her now.

    • Because she is older and has had brain surgery and gets confused, the state will take over the medical decisions that she would normally make for herself. I think they talk to family and have them help make the decisions but it really is up to them to make the final decision.

    • I think she would feel better being in a rehab closer to her home! I hope they will transfer her.
