  2. This reminds me of that saying, “Happiness is not the destination, it’s the journey.” I’m grateful that today is Friday and I have a lot of errands to run today. Which means my normal routine will be changed. Good morning Deb! I hope you have a fabulous day today! ((HUGS!!)) xoxoxox

    • Ah yes I know that saying. Yay for Friday!! Good evening PJ! My day was fabulous thank you. It had a lot of unexpected events but I handled them all with a smile on my face. I hope you got all your errands done and have a marvelous day!! ((HUGS!!)) xoxo ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I’m glad you got through your unexpected events and kept a smile on your face. I know that sometimes that is really tough to do. I got through my errands in about 1 1/2 hours. It didn’t take nearly as long as I thought it would. Finally got my oil changed in my car! They keep telling me I don’t need to bring my car in for an oil change until it has reached 3,000 miles. I tell them, The way I remember to get the oil changed in my car is to do it every spring and fall. LOL! I have usually only put about 1,000 miles on it. My car is 12 years old and runs great! My sister ate quite a bit today for lunch. I was happy about that. Tomorrow morning I have to go grocery shopping for her (and me).

    • I think that’s smart getting it done Spring and Fall plus it’s obviously working great for you! Yeah I made a conscious effort, I always tell everyone else to look at the bright side, or to do it with joy so I decided to take my own advice…what a difference it makes!! Oh I’m so happy to hear your sister ate a lot today, yay! I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow earlier than I usually do, we are getting snow tomorrow…starting around 10 and progressing as the day goes on so if I get out of here by 10 that will be good. Then I’ll be in for the weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • That’s nice that you took your own advice! ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t blame you for going grocery shopping earlier than usual to try and avoid snow! I hate for it to snow here because I am usually in for the duration or at least until the roads melt.

    • It worked too, it made such a world of difference. I’m going to practice it as often as I remember too….Lol! Yes and it seems we forget how to drive when it comes to the first snow…so out I go to get back before it gets too slippery!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I’m going to practice the same thing when I remember you telling me about it. Sometimes I forget. LOL. I agree! We do forget how to drive on snow when we haven’t driven on it for a long while. I use to drive on it all the time for quite a ways when I was working. I worked at a company 15 miles out of town and sometimes it was pretty hairy getting to work!

    • I’ll try to remember to remind you…remind me…LOL!!
Yeah I’m 12 miles from work so I know what you mean…it does get hairy…it’s soooo stressful and the older I get and the harder it is to see at night it’s even worse!! As I always say…I’ll be glad when the working days are behind me!!

    • Oh yes! I know what you mean, many many times I drove to work in the dark and drove home in the dark. Real hairy! Especially when there was snow, but fortunately, we don’t get the amount of snow here that you get where you live.

    • Yeah driving in a blizzard is the worst! I used to find it exciting when I was younger…not so much anymore.

    • Oh I imagine so! Fortunately, we don’t have many blizzards here. I’m sure if we did I would call in sick or take a vacation day!

    • Sometimes they start while at work. Yeah i wouldn’t think you would have many blizzards! โ˜บ

    • I remember we had a few start while I was at work (I’m sure it’s not like your blizzards there) but they let us off work early so we could all get home safely.

    • I wanted to tell you that yesterday a gunman went into the high school one town over (15 miles away) and shot and killed two students. It is so scary that this is happening anywhere but even more so when it is so close to home.

    • That makes me so angry…take your own life if you’re unhappy but don’t ruin others!! Oh I’m so sorry to hear about that. I don’t watch the news as they hardly have anything positive on it and there are a lot more positive things than negative things that happen in the world…but you wouldn’t think so if you didn’t know better.

    • I completely agree! He was down on life and was wanting to kill himself but first he was going to take as many as he could with him! Terrible! The police station was right down the block from the school and they were there in 1 minute. I don’t watch the news anymore either because I got so sick of the politics garbage. I heard about it yesterday when I went to see my sister. They have a big screen tv in the lobby, and I watched it on the news while I was waiting for them to change the oil on my car today.

    • Well guess where this was…trash! Yeah all the political stuff is also something I’m not interested in listening too. People get so angry when someone has an opinion that differs from theirs…it’s crazy!

    • Yes, I agree. People do get so angry when others have different opinions. That is really a bummer that some of my comments are going into the trash. Could be that WP doesn’t like us communicating with each other on the comments. LOL!
