    • I couldn’t type very much a while ago, Sugar was in my arms. I have been busy with my niece today. She came to see her mother and do some running around for her. She is trying to get her into another facility that has a higher rating than the one that she is in.

    • When the ambulance brought my sister here from Albuquerque they were sent to a certain rehab hospital but this hospital turned her away because apparently there was a typo on the insurance information from UNM hospital. This particular rehab hospital turned her away and she went to the only rehab facility that would accept her. The other facility is a nicer facility and her daughter is trying to get her into that one. But, personally, I am mad at the facility for turning her away. She had nowhere to go and the ambulance drivers were so kind and made sure she was admitted into a facility before they would leave her. It was all pretty devastating to her.

    • Really, you’re under so much stress as it is from what you’re suffering from…you don’t need complications. However if it’s nicer and the only other choice maybe they were just following the rules and their hands were tied.

    • That is possible, but it still makes me mad that they turned her away like that. You’re right, she was under a lot of stress from brain surgery and hip surgery. Her mind is not all there right now so it was very very confusing and terrifying for her.

    • I can imagine it was…and I totally understand you’re feeling mad. They should never turn anyone away…figure it out and let her in.

    • All they needed to do was to call UNM Hospital and get the confusion of the typo straightened out. Anyway, we will wait and see if they will take her in (after she is over the flu and the Christmas holidays have passed).

    • If that’s where you want her to be then I hope they take her in too!!

    • If she is suppose to be in that rehab facility then it will work out for her.
