    • Lol, there are many wonderful things that come from social media, we just need to turn towards them. I too have reconnected with childhood friends and made new ones. Happy for you!! ☺

    • Well, I thought I knew what I was wearing but now I’m not so sure. I have my golden hair piece and my beads but now I’m undecided between a long black flowing dress and a short golden black laced one. Neither have flouncy tasseles down the bottom which was the in thing back then but anyway, whatever I wear, I’ll try and post a pic! Hope you’re well. Tash had to leave early as she has a job interview tomorrow morning so she had to get back to the country (four hours away). I’m feeling a bit flat today, might have to pull the guitar out again. 🙂 Big hugs xo

    • Do you have a costume store or vintage store near you? I was wondering if maybe you could buy a belt with the fringe hanging from it and wrap it around you over your dress, then you’ll have fringe. If not how about a boa…do you have one of those? I was just on a website looking at flapper girls for ideas. Both sound like fun so whichever you’re more in the mood for that day is what I would go with. Oh I hope she likes it and does well!! Hmmm maybe if you don’t feel like working on I’ve Won Today…play around with the new one. I see you just emailed so I’m off to check it!! Big hugs xo 🙂

    • Yeah, we have a ‘savers’ store, kind of an op shop relatively close by. I’ve already been in there for my head piece but I might go back if I can. A feather boa might look sassier. What I got makes my head look like a bit of a flat helmet with golden beads hanging off it hehe. Anyway, all fun.
I got inspired and have emailed you two more versions. Hopefully … ❤️ Hugs xo

  4. Cute bloomers. I buy most of my undies at Target or Marks and Spencers.

  5. I can’t wait to see your new gown. You’ll look like a lady in an Amanda Quick novel.
Today I’m thankful for new, wick away workout pants from Target. I have more tests and have to be out in the rain.

  6. Too cute! If they were a tad longer they would have been great to use as an added layer in our arctic weather. Thankfully, the temperatures have begun to rise. Have a good day Deb!

    • Longer and wooly…hehe…although then they’d be itchy!! Yes the temps have risen here too…hallelujah. So excited for Thursday & Friday…going to reach 50…woo hoo!! Thanks Steph, hope your day was wonderful too!!

  7. Those bloomers are adorable! I wouldn’t mind having a pair of those. (I wonder why we call them a pair when it is only one). I doubt they would look good under my jeans! LOL! Good morning Deb! I hope you have an amazing day today! ((HUGS!!)) xoxoxo

    • That’s an excellent question…hmmm…here’s the answer (I had to google and find out)
“Pair,” from the Latin, means two like things. Pants (pantaloons) were originally two like things. You put them on one leg at a time because they actually came in two pieces. You put on one leg, tied it around your waist, then put on the other. From the beginning, about the 16th Century, pants have been referred to as a pair and that includes underwear.
Huh, how about that, pants used to be in two pieces…that’s funny. We’ve come such a long way huh!
Good morning PJ!! My day was amazing, thanks! I hope your day was insightful! ((HUGS!!)) xoxo 🙂

    • That’s very interesting! I never thought to ask Google. It’s hard to imagine that pants and underwear use to come in two pieces. Does that mean they didn’t cover the bottom? My sister thinks the doctor has released her and she keeps asking me to come pick her up! I try to tell her that he hasn’t released her and she gets mad and tells me, what are you the doctor now? She even called me a few minutes ago to come get her. I told her, I tell you what ask Marissa (the head nurse) if you can leave and if she says you can leave, I will come pick you up. Marissa got on the phone and told me she would explain to her that she isn’t released to leave rehab and that she cannot leave yet. It breaks my heart she wants to leave so bad and refuses to listen to me. That darn brain cyst!!

    • It did cover their bottom but it’s hard to imagine how…I’ll have to do some more investigating at some point.
Ohhh I’m so sorry to hear about what your sister is going through…so sad. And how hard it must be on you too. That was such a good idea about having her ask Marissa, then it takes the “blame” off of you. I wonder though will she forget tomorrow and ask all over again…really I wonder is there more they can do about that cyst? 😦

    • Yes, she will forget and ask again. I don’t know what her doctor told her but apparently it was something to make her think she is released. They did take the cyst out because they operated on her brain. She said the doctors said it was just minor surgery. What!? She was in ICU in University Of New Mexico Hospital and they said it was minor surgery?? But, they operated on her brain and all that has to heal – if it ever will.

    • Did they give a timeline as to when her thinking would be back to normal and how long the healing process is?

      Like

    • No, they didn’t. I personally don’t think her thinking will ever be back to normal.
