TODAY I AM GRATEFUL FOR SLUGS!
I KNOW, YOU’RE PROBABLY ALL THINKING SLUGS? YUP SLUGS.
I HAVE DECIDED TO PAY CLOSER ATTENTION TO THE UNIVERSE, THE SIGNS BEING SENT TO ME AND TO TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED. THIS MORNING I WENT TO CHECK ON THE PRAYING MANTIS, I’LL BE POSTING A VIDEO UPDATE ~ ALL IS WELL
WHEN I FINISHED RECORDING THE PRAYING MANTIS I NOTICED THIS SLUG…AND YES OF COURSE I LOOKED UP ITS SYMBOLISM
(I also looked up to see if Praying Mantis eat Slugs, and although it’s not their favorite treat, they do indeed, so I may not see this guy again)
I didn’t even notice the other slug when I was recording this, in fact there were two others. I love the little eyeballs on the end of the antennae.
“On a spiritual level, the slug is a reminder that the Biblical phrase, “Ask and it shall be given…” is active within our life. The slug reminds us that if we know the proper way to ask, we will begin to manifest that which we need or desire.
The slug reminds you the magic to do what you wish is already present in spite of what others might say.
The slug’s appearance reminds us that we will soon recognize and realize the illumination that is always present within us.
The slug reminds us that we are on the path to giving birth to our inner Holy Child.”
(Slug from Ted Andrews “More Simplified Magic”)
“The Snail and Slug are communicators on all levels; spiritual, physical, emotional and mental. They are nocturnal creatures and share their flow of affection with the Moon, the feminine principle of Creation. There is also a warning that comes with the Slug and Snail and that is to beware of becoming too slow-moving and lazy. Always keep your sights on the destination, on where your Hearts desire and compassion take You. Keep true to who You are as an individual and always understand that You are responsible for the path of the Beholder.”

I LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING MY SIGNS AND MEANINGS AS THEY APPEAR – THIS COULD BECOME A NATURE POST 😉

I don’t know what year it is in the Chinese Calendar but for me I feel strongly that this is the Year of the Change and I don’t mean Menopause…although it’s that too, but that has been ongoing and I digress.
I’m feeling so excited about 2016. I think a lot of wonderful changes are coming our way. It’s the year to do things that you have been putting off or afraid to try. It’s time to take that step, to actively pursue your dream and make it your reality.
I see new and creative moments happening. What once were just thoughts are coming to fruition. Last year was the start, the baby steps, the feeling out of things and now this year, 2016, it’s time for the manifestation of those thoughts, ideas and dreams.
I encourage all of us to believe in ourselves, to believe that what we want in life we CAN make happen, it’s time we take action. What have you been wanting and thinking about, yet not pursuing? Why haven’t you? Nothing is impossible, nothing!
What dream do you want to make a reality? Write it down. How can you make it a reality? Write that down. Make a plan, set goals, do something each day that brings your dream closer to a realization and soon it will be.
Who’s with me? Don’t get all complicated or you’ll psyche yourself out and accomplish nothing. Build your dream with one small step each day. Each night think, “what can I do tomorrow that will turn my dream into a reality?” Write down all that comes to mind, list as many steps or items that will contribute, check them off when completed and continue to move forward in the direction of your goal.
If you have a passion to do something, then do it! If you are unhappy where you are right now, then change it. No longer lament over oh woe is me, stop feeling sorry for yourself and start feeling happy for yourself. Tell yourself that this down attitude has to end, the ego needs to go rest so that the right brain, the creative, imaginative, fun, exciting part of your brain can take over and you can start enjoying life. No more negative thinking, why ruin your day with these thoughts, why not cheer yourself up and enjoy yourself! Sit yourself down and set the rules, say look this is the way we are going to be from now on…upbeat, cheerful, friendly, caring, generous, kind, grateful and always ready to lend a helping hand. Give yourself this pep talk every morning and pretty soon you won’t need to, as you will become all of these wonderful qualities.
Go on now…live your dream, be happy, be caring, be you!!
~~Happy New Year of the Change, 2016~~
